In 2008 a Joint Research Unit (JRU) has been founded between the Embedded Systems Institute and the 3TU.Centre of Excellence CeDICT.
Already they have been cooperating quite heavily, but the foundation of this JRU has advantages in the completeness of the knowledge creation and the usage chain.
In addition, the JRU can act as a single entity for EU funding and Dutch grants.
The main focus of the JRU is:
